Inadequate insulation and air leaks are the leading cause of energy being wasted in homes according to the Department of Energy. It is also estimated that 80 million homes in the US are under insulated.

In 2005 the average home spent $1,865 a year on energy bills for a monthly average of $155. Energy costs have only risen since 2005 and will only continue to rise in the future. The two examples below illustrate a low end example of the possible long term savings achievable by investing in properly insulating your home.

This example assumes that energy costs will rise only 7% a year. What do you think your monthly energy costs will look like in 5-10 years? Insulation Columbus Ohio

Actual savings will vary upon other circumstances; including but not limited to: variations in rising energy costs, air leaks, poorly insulated windows, poorly insulated walls, inefficient heating and cooling systems.
